Deb Milton's endorsement of Awakening the Dreamer

Helena Noetics Group - Here is an endorsement of the Awakening the Dreamer symposum that Deborah Milton sent out. I am passing it on for those of you who are not on her list. Deborah lives on the Salish Kootenai Reservation, and deeply understands indigenous wisdom, and the significance of this cross-culture partnership. She is also a wonderful presenter, and I am thrilled that she has already trained as a facilitator, since she ojnly did the symposium last fall. This is a big wave.

Dear Friends

I know some of you IONS members have probably already seen the flyer but I am passionate about this program so wanted to send you my personal invitation to join us on the 17th.

Never has a program come to my attention which has riveted me as this one has. A symposium called Awakening the Dreamer/Changing the Dream produced by Pachamama Alliance. Helena IONS is sponsoring the Symposium at Carroll College on the 17th and barring blizzards I will be there to assist in presenting the material.

( I attended a one day facilitators’ training out in Seattle in November. )

One of the reasons I love the Pachamama folk is their mission statement: To awaken a socially just, environmentally sustainable and spiritually fulfilled human presence on the planet. That demands a marriage between science and spirit, left brain and right, modern technological brilliance and indigenous wisdom. Hurrray!

Makes Ecstatic Wisdom Postures even more relevant and you can imagine I’m going to ride this wave to the best of my ability.

Paul Hawken, who wrote Blessed Unrest and has been studying the leaderless, consciousness expanding, green movement happening all over the globe for the last five years, has recently called Pachamama Alliance the single most important NGO of our time. Check out their website: www.Pachamama.org <http://www.pachamama.org/> . If you have time to watch the video of the Nov luncheon, it is potent. Scroll further down and you’ll see a very short introductory video for the Symposium Awakening the Dreamer. ( only 4 minutes ). That might be all you need to intuit why it’s important to attend on the 17th.

You can register by calling Barbara Thomas (406-227-8401), or you can register online by clicking on Awakening the Dreamer, click on FIND A SYMPOSIUM and scroll down until you find Carroll College, Helena Montana on the 17th of January.

So please join us on the 17th and if you can’t but are interested in knowing more, please contact me, Deborah Milton, <dgm10@blackfoot.net> because I have my own copy of the video and can easily share it in someone’s living room. It inspires and motivates and catalyses our lives and our work in the world.

Also, please share this information and invite your friends and family to join you. The Symposium lends itself to continued community involvement and ongoing discussion afterward.

Love you, Deborah

These times call for massive numbers of us to wake up as quickly as possible. What does that mean? For me, awakening means remembering the wisdom of our ancestors: we live in relationship to everything else - connected not separate. It isn't only quantum physics that supports this knowledge. We all know in our bones that earth's resources are finite and we all need them - an unsustainable situation. Human intelligence, creative adaptability and commitment to the common good are infinite and awesomely imaginative.

Let's wake up together and change our minds about how we live. All life depends on it. DJM
